If there’s one thing Denver does better than just about anywhere else, it’s earning our post-workout beers. From sunrise flows at Red Rocks to muddy mountain tracks down south, the Front Range calendar is packed all through summer and fall.
We rounded up the absolute best events happening around town so you can lock in your calendar, get your miles in, and soak up that late-season sunshine. A few RMFLEX members are already locked in for a couple of events in the fall, so keep an eye out for familiar faces at the starting lines.
Yoga on the Rocks at Red Rocks Amphitheatre
There’s nothing quite like a 7:00 AM wake-up call to sweat on the most famous monolithic stairs in the world. Yoga on the Rocks is a total Front Range rite of passage. You get the crisp morning air, incredible views of the foothills, and a massive community vibe. Just a heads up: these mornings sell out almost immediately, so if you miss the AXS drop, you’ll have to hunt for tickets on the resale market.

Colorado Brewery Running Series
Because running just hits different when there’s a cold craft pour waiting for you at the finish line. Since 2012, the Colorado Brewery Running Series has been hosting 5K, 10K, and half-marathon events at local breweries across the Front Range and beyond. The Brewery Running Series hits local taprooms all over the state, turning 5Ks and 10Ks into backyard parties with live music and food trucks after the run. A portion of all proceeds goes directly to Colorado nonprofits, which makes that post-race patio beer taste even better.
Check out the local highlights below or see the full statewide roster at breweryrunningseries.com.

Tough Mudder Colorado
If you’re looking to get out of Denver and test your grip strength, head south toward the Springs. Tough Mudder takes over Fort Carson for a weekend of heavy carries, massive obstacles, and a lot of mud. You can opt for the full 15K if you want the real challenge, or grab a crew from the gym for the 5K track. It’s way more about teamwork and surviving the terrain than hitting a specific pace, making it perfect for a gym crew looking to get out of their comfort zone.

Boulderthon
For the pure runners looking for serious mountain backdrops without the brutal trail vert, Boulderthon is the big one. For its 6th year, the race is returning to its roots with a fast, scenic route right around the Reservoir before finishing directly in the heart of Downtown Boulder. They’ve completely re-engineered the course to cut out a massive chunk of the old elevation gain, making it the fastest and most scenic layout yet. It’s an incredible weekend to head up to Boulder, hit the course, and grab brunch on the bricks afterward.

HYROX Denver
For the hybrid athletes who love heavy sleds as much as a fast mile, HYROX is coming to town. Denver’s first-ever HYROX fitness race takes place this November. The historic four-day event will be held at the Stockyards Event Center at the National Western Center. The format is a beast: eight 1-kilometer runs, with a grueling functional testing station between every single lap, including everything from heavy sled pushes and pulls to burpee broad jumps, rowing, and wall balls. The atmosphere inside the Stockyards Event Center will be loud, chaotic, and highly competitive. We’ve even heard that some of our Rocky Mountain Flex members will be showing out for the event!
Need additional training to help you get race-ready? Every Monday at 6:30 AM, we host a Hybrid Training Class on the turf with Coach Britt. Come by and take a class to dial in your strength and pacing as you train for HYROX.
Where: Stockyards Event Center, Denver, CO
When: November 12-15, 2026 (competition begins as early as 7:30 AM each day)

Mile High United Way Turkey Trot
You can’t call yourself a Denver runner until you’ve spent Thanksgiving morning doing laps around Wash Park. This tradition has been going strong for over half a century. It is beautifully chaotic, packed with dogs in custom bandanas, massive family groups, and people running in full turkey suits. It’s an awesome community event, a great way to earn your Thanksgiving dinner, and it now officially counts as a BOLDERBoulder qualifier if you’re trying to secure a fast wave for next year.
